Finasteride for hair loss belongs to 5-alpha Reductase Inhibitors. It is a medically proven product to treat Androgenetic Alopecia or Male Pattern Baldness. It prevents further hair loss and promotes the growth of new hair by blocking the production of DHT – a hormone derived from testosterone. Excess DHT causes the hair follicles to shrink and so hair does not grow as long and eventually stops growing altogether. This leads to male pattern baldness. The use of Oral Finasteride 1 mg prevents the conversion of testosterone to DHT and thereby reverses the process of hair loss.
